Gaming

A Newfound Passion

Growing up, video games were off-limits in my household, but that only made discovering them later even more exciting. After moving out, the very first thing I did was build my own PC and dive into the world of gaming. I started with classics like Minecraft and Phasmophobia, but the game that truly captured my heart is Marvel Rivals. It’s my favorite to date, and while I enjoy casual play, I’ve also embraced the competitive side. Reaching Diamond 3 may not sound groundbreaking to seasoned players, but for someone who only recently discovered gaming, it’s a milestone I’m genuinely proud of. Gaming has become more than a hobby; it’s a space where I challenge myself, connect with others, and unwind.

Life with Pets

From Farm to Family

I grew up in a small rural town where animals were always part of daily life: dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, chickens, and even the occasional pet squirrel. That deep connection to animals stayed with me, and when I left home, I knew I wanted pets of my own. Meet Mazikeen (Maze for short), a curious and playful cat we adopted at five months old from Mostly Mutts. She quickly became part of the family, and of course, one cat led to another, enter Holly, Maze’s “sister,” whom we adopted two years later from the same rescue. They’re both full of personality and keep our home lively and warm. And then there are our hermit crabs: Hermi, Hershell, Pina Colada, Beach Ball, and Roast Beef. We rescued these quirky little guys during our recurring trips to Panama City Beach. While many people assume hermit crabs are low-maintenance pets, proper care is essential and often overlooked. If you're considering adopting hermit crabs, I encourage you to do a little research first. They’re fascinating creatures, but they deserve thoughtful care and attention.

Graphic Design

Where Creativity Meets Communication

When I first arrived at Kennesaw State University as an English major, I never imagined I’d find a passion for graphic design. But over time, I discovered how visual storytelling could complement and elevate my communication skills. From designing flyers and social media graphics for campus organizations to exploring freelance projects, graphic design has become a creative outlet that blends artistry with purpose. Here are some of my favorite pieces from my time at KSU and beyond, each one a reflection of my growth, curiosity, and love for design.
